We all think of Tucker as a warm and welcoming place, but think back to your first year on campus. Remember all of the struggles, the hardships, and the excitement? We all have something we wish we knew back then. What’s something you wish you did differently? These are the topics discussed with our interviewees.
Tanner Simpson is a current Junior who has been at Tucker since freshman year. He is in the Spanish Language and Global Citizenship Center, also known as immersion. When asked what he wished he knew freshman year, he responded saying that not everything has to change. Your old study habits will get you through. Your study style will change slowly. You don’t have to overwhelm yourself with a whole new study style suddenly.
Griffin Goodwyn is a junior and has attended Tucker all of his high school career. He is in the International Baccalaureate program. When he was asked about what he wanted to do differently about freshman year, he said that he would have started joining clubs sooner.
